Asia trades mixed after Japan data

Asian stock indexes traded mixed on Friday following the latest economic reports from Japan. Consumer prices dropped 0.4% in August on a yearly basis, while manufacturing activity slowed down in September, according to preliminary data. In international relations, North Korea seemed to reject South Korea's call for a formal end to the Korean War, stating such a move is "premature."

The Nikkei 225 jumped by 1.97% at 4:45 am CET, while the S&P/ASX 200 dropped 0.39% at the same time, and Hang Seng added 0.26%. The Kospi Composite was flat at 4:26 am CET.

The Shanghai Composite increased by 0.13% at 4:45 am CET and the Shenzhen Composite was up by 0.76% at 4:46 am CET.

The dollar traded flat against the yen at 4:47 am CET and went for 110.3555.
