United States Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci stated on Tuesday that he expects the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine to be accepted by the United States for travel.

Speaking to BBC Radio 4, Fauci noted that he doesn't predict there will be any problem in recognizing the vaccine, but recognized that the ultimate decision lies with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Previously, it was reported that the White House plans to allow fully vaccinated travelers to visit the US starting from November, ending an 18-month ban.
