German tennis player Alexander Zverev (pictured) won the gold medal in the men's singles competition at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo after beating Karen Khachanov from Russia on Sunday.

The German dominated the gold medal match, winning it 2-0 (6-3, 6-1) and converting four of eight break points in the process. He handed Khachanov only one break point chance that the Russian failed to capitalize.

Pablo Carreno Busta from Spain defeated Serbia's Novak Djokovic yesterday and took home the bronze medal.
