Clariant reaches deal to sell pigments unit for $950 billion

Clariant AG revealed on Monday it has reached a deal with Heubach Group and SK Capital Partners to sell its pigments business for between 805 and 855 million Swiss francs (~$951.27 million).

"Now our focus can fully be on growing revenue and profitability of our core business areas: Care Chemicals, Catalysis and Natural Resource," Clariant Chief Executive Conrad Keijzer noted following the announcement.

The agreement is expected to be finalized in the first half of the next year, Clariant concluded.
