Trump: Big tech attack on free speech un-American

Sunday, 11. July 2021 23:36

Former United States President Donald Trump called on Sunday big tech companies "un-American" for their "attack on free speech." Earlier this week, he sued Facebook, Google and Twitter and their CEOs, claiming they violated the First Amendment of the EU Constitution.

Trump also accused social media companies of "suppressing and diminishing" media coverage that painted then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden during the election campaign in 2020. He also alleged they banned the accounts of the New York Post "without any basis whatsoever" after it published a story accusing Biden's son of corruption. Trump added the big tech "censors honest discussion of voter fraud," as he continued to claim there was widespread fraud during the 2020 election.
