Asia Pacific higher after data, BoJ minutes

Major stock indexes in Asia were mostly higher during Wednesday's afternoon trade with today's batch of economic data, as well as Bank of Japan's April meeting minutes, in focus. Meanwhile, media reported Bejing could keep coronavirus border restrictions until 2022.

In Mainland China, Shanghai Composite increased 0.31% at 07:22 am CET while the Shenzhen Composite grew 0.94% a minute later. At the same time, Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 1.49%.

In Tokyo, Nikkei 225 was flat at 07:22 am CET. The dollar rose 0.22% against the yen at 07:22 am CET, buying ¥1110.8000.

In South Korea, the Kospi Composite advanced 0.41% at 07:24 am CET, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 dropped 0.57% concurrently.
