Asia-Pacific trades higher after US bounce

Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded higher after Wall Street's successful rebound following sharp losses in the previous days. The impetus for the recovery was positive jobs and producer price data coming from the United States. Meanwhile, Japan expanded the state of emergency to include three more prefectures in the country.

The Nikkei 225 surged 1.80% at 4:30 am CET, while the Kospi Composite gained 0.76% at 4:34 am CET. Both the Hang Seng and the S&P/ASX 200 were 0.56% and 0.84% up respectively at 4:35 am CET.

In the meantime, in mainland China, the Shenzen Composite rose by 0.84% at 4:37 am CET, while the Shanghai Composite increased 0.36% at 4:23 am CET.

The dollar rose 0.14% against the yen, trading for ¥109.6130 at 4:40 am CET.
