US mixed in premarket with economy in focus

Equities in the United States traded mixed in the premarket on Monday ahead of President Joe Biden's remarks on the current state of the country's economy, heavily influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic. BioNTech SE, Novavax Inc., and Virgin Galactic will also reveal their income in the first quarter of 2021. Earlier, Chief Medical Advisor to the President, Dr. Anthony Fauci, noted the nation's fight against the pandemic is "on the right track."

The Dow Jones traded 0.22% higher at 4:30. On the other hand, the Nasdaq 100 lost 0.25%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 stood flat.

The euro declined by 0.06% against the dollar to sell for $1.21572 at 4:29 am ET.
