United States President Donald Trump said on Friday that Charter Communications Inc. vowed to invest $25 billion over the next four years and to employ 20,000 people in the domestic market. Tom Rutledge, the cable operator's chief executive, and Texas Governor Greg Abbott joined him in the Oval Office in the White House, where he stressed the company intends to bring offshore call centers back to the country.

"Massive elimination of job-killing regulations" is underway and the US will see "thousands and thousands and thousands of jobs and companies" returning, the president said, noting the pace would be even faster than he had projected.
