Russia considering ban on gasoline exports

Friday, 30. July 2021 19:50

The Russian government may temporarily bar gasoline exports in order to help the stabilization of the domestic market, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak (pictured) stated on Friday.

"The Energy Ministry is to present the proposal shortly. We additionally consider this instrument as a matter of principle because the demand is growing and we need to support the domestic market in full scope," the official asserted.

Meanwhile, Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov said that the potential ban won't cause a drop in budget revenues.
