The United States will allow foreigners either fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or tested negative for the disease to enter the country starting from November, the White House announced on Monday.

President Joe Biden's administration confirmed the lifting of the ban will apply to international flyers from 33 countries. It stressed the visitors will need to follow requirements concerning contact tracing and wearing masks. The White House added the government is still to determine details concerning the implementation of the new rules.

The announcement comes shortly after it was reported the US will allow entry to fully vaccinated travelers from the United Kingdom and the European Union.
