Alpine F1 Team's driver Esteban Ocon won the 2021 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring in Mogyorod, Hungary, on Sunday, scoring his first ever victory in the competition.

Four-time F1 title winner, Aston Martin's Sebastian Vettel, came in second with reigning champion Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes claiming the third spot. Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who was the leader in the drivers' standings before the race, earned only one point after finishing tenth. The race had to be restarted after two separate incidents during the opening lap eliminated five cars from the race.

After winning 15 points from today's race, Hamilton overtook Verstappen and now leads the drivers' championship standings with 192 points to the Dutch driver's 186. Lando Norris of McLaren, who had to retire from the Hungarian Grand Prix after the aforementioned crashes, is behind them in third place with 113 points. Mercedes is first in the constructors' championship standings with 300 points, 10 ahead of Red Bull.
