Jacobs captures 100m Olympic gold

Italian sprinter Lamont Marcell Jacobs (pictured) was the first to cross the finish line and win the gold medal in the men's 100-meter final of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo on Sunday.

He also set the new European record at 9.80 seconds. Fred Kerley of the United States was second, while Canada's Andre De Grasse won the bronze medal.

Zharnel Hughes from Great Britain was disqualified before the race over a false start.
