Logitech CEO says chip shortage will last up to 6 months

Logitech Chief Executive Bracken Darrell estimated on Friday that the shortage of semiconductor chips could last for an additional three-to-six months.

"Like others, we have felt the shortages, but we have been able to cushion them well It takes time to ramp up production but in the meantime, prices have also adjusted," Darrell said in an interview with Swiss newspaper Finanz und Wirtschaft.

To address the issue, the European Union pledged to provide "significant" funds to bolster the manufacture of semiconductors.
