Europe opens mixed after German data

Major European stock markets opened mixed on Friday following data reports from Germany about the state of international trade and industrial production during the month of February.

On the coronavirus front, French Health Minister Olivier Veran argued it's still early to relax restriction measures, while Russia and Germany yesterday began bilateral negotiations on the acquisition of the Sputnik V vaccine.

The DAX was down 0.12% at the opening bell. The CAC 40 gained 0.08% and the FTSE 100 lost 0.08%. The euro declined 0.18% against the dollar to sell for 1.18924 at 9:03 am CET, while the pound fell 0.40% to $1.36783.
