Gouda - Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) has recently
won several number of maintenance orders in Spain in both industrial
complexes and buildings, with a total value of more than 34 million

René van der Bruggen, Imtech CEO: 'We are one of the strongest
players in the Spanish market for technical industrial services.
Besides industrial assembly, the focus to a large extent is on
maintenance and management in the form of industrial maintenance,
shut-downs and revamping services. Imtech is also active in the
buildings market with here too fast increasing activities in the
market of technical maintenance and management. This solid focus on
management and maintenance on basis of a multidisciplinary scope is
successful. It makes it possible, despite the difficult circumstances
on the Spanish property market, to retain to our objective of further
growth in Spain.'

Industrial maintenance
From over ten different locations in the south, centre and north of
Spain, Imtech services dozens of large and medium-large industrial
clients. Recently, Imtech won several orders for industrial
maintenance services in the chemical, petrochemical, steel and oil
and gas industries. To an increasing extent, electrical maintenance
activities are being carried out alongside the maintenance of
mechanical processes. For steel producer Acerinox in Algeciras,
Imtech takes care of the comprehensive multidisciplinary industrial
maintenance of the steel mill, the hot steel press and the mechanical
maintenance of a number of huge industrial pumps, among other things.
For the Spanish oil and gas company Cepsa Imtech conducts all the
multidisciplinary industrial maintenance activities (electrical,
instrumentation, mechanical) in the Cepsa refinery in Algeciras.
Imtech is also responsible for several integral maintenance contracts
regarding the technical infrastructure on the Cepsa production sites
in both La Rábida and Tenerife. Other integral maintenance contracts
are the contracts for the chemical plant of Cepsa in Madrid and the
refinery cooker plant of the oil and gas company Repsol located in
Puertollano, as well as the IQA (Industrias Químicas Asociadas)
chemical plant of La Seda de Barcelona in Tarragona. Other contracts
are the integral maintenance contract for Repsol in Tarragona and a
contract for the mechanical industrial maintenance at the BP refinery
in Castellón.

Maintenance in buildings
On the Spanish buildings maintenance market there is a clear need for
professional technical services providers focused on the maintenance
of technical installations as core activity. The Imtech focus - fully
in line with Imtech strategy - is on providing total technical
maintenance services by combining electrical, mechanical and ICT
solutions. Imtech is successfully targeting a growing portfolio of
regular clients in all Spain's important economic centres. This
directed approach is yielding fruit. Imtech is able to stand out from
the rest by offering performance contracts with total responsibility
through the combination of both preventive and corrective maintenance
with 24/7 service and availability of technical specialists.
Recently, several new maintenance orders were won. For example,
Imtech is now responsible for the multidisciplinary technical
maintenance of all AC Hotels in Andalusia and Catalonia, seven
centres for the General Treasury of the National Health Service in
the Almeria province, all of telecom provider ONO's 166 service
centres and outlets in Spain, the 'Reina Sofia' hospital in Tudela,
the 75,000 m2 'Las Mercedes' Business Park in Madrid and all
laboratories and offices on the extensive 'Parc Cientific'
(scientific park) in Barcelona, in which three large research
institutes and 30 research companies with a total of 1,400 employees
are based.
