Deutsche Telekom Q2 revenue tops estimates

German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom AG announced on Thursday second-quarter revenue of €26.6 billion, down 1.7% on the year but above analyst expectations. Meanwhile, adjusted EBITDA after leases fell by 4.2% to €9.4 billion, the update revealed.

At the same time, net profit surged almost 150% to €1.9 billion euros while Deutsche Telekom raised its 2021 earnings guidance.

"Every area of the group saw an increase in results in the first half of the year, thus continuing the group’s growth story," the company's Chief Executive Officer CEO Tim Hoettges commented on the results.
