Aston Martin's Sebastian Vettel has been disqualified from the Hungarian Grand Prix for breaching technical regulations, the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile) announced.

The German driver and four-time F1 title champion came in second in Sunday's race before he was penalized after officials found that his car contained insufficient fuel following the event, with only 0.3 litres found in his reservoir.

Aston Martin has said it will challenge the decision with an appeal. Until then, Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton will remain in second place, with Ferrari's Carlos Sainz in third place as the final podium finisher.
