TV and broadband company Liberty Global said it agreed to sell its Swiss operation UPC Switzerland to Sunrise Communications Group AG for $6.3 billion. The deal is expected to be finalized by end of 2019.

Last year, Liberty Global announced it will start selling off its European assets. The company already agreed to sell its assets in Germany and Eastern Europe to Vodafone and its Austrian business to Deutsche Telekom and is now waiting for the approval from European regulators.

Liberty Global's CEO Mike Fries told Financial Times that the company was restructuring its assets and is, for now, done with it and happy with its portfolio.
