Russian court fines Google for failing to remove banned content

A Russian court fined Google a total of 6 million rubles ($81,810) for failing to remove content banned by the country's law, TASS reported on Tuesday citing court documents.

On Monday, the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) noted Google and its video platform YouTube do not filter and delete enough content banned in Russia and warned the company it could slow down its traffic unless it removes such content.
