Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) issued on Thursday a fine worth over €100 million ($120 million) to Alphabet Inc.'s Google LLC, and Google Italy Srl over the firms' alleged abuse of dominant position in the market.

AGCM's decision came as Google made an application JuicePass, developed by Enel X for users of electric vehicles, unavailable on its Android Auto app.

By blocking Enel X's app on Android Auto, Google favored its Google Maps app, the authority explained and requested the tech giant to reverse its decision and make the apps interoperable.
