Susan Wojcicki, CEO of Alphabet Inc.'s YouTube, stated the video-sharing platform will lift the suspension of former President Donald Trump when the company "determines the risk of violence has decreased."

The ex-chief executive was banned or suspended on most big social media platforms following the January 6 riots for "incitement of violence." Before the measures were taken, many of Trump's tweets were flagged or removed for violating the companies' policies.

Earlier in the month, Trump asserted that tech companies such as Facebook Inc., Twitter Inc. and Google LLC should be punished for silencing conservatives.
