The equities on the Wall Street traded mixed at the opening bell on Friday as the trade talks between the United States and China remain in focus. The White House trade adviser Peter Navarro stressed that Washington is only willing to delay the tariffs on goods from China, despite previous reports those may be waived. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that his country aims to increase trade with Europe and called for "unity against China and Russia." Jean-Claude Juncker, the European Commission President, stated that the US won't import tariffs on cars from the EU.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded flat at open. The Walt Disney Company gained over 4% as the best performer after it posted strong results for the third quarter. The Nasdaq 100 lost 0.13% with Activision Blizzard's stocks declining nearly 3%. The S&P 500 0.14% fall was driven by the same company's equities slip as the session started.

The euro slipped 0.18% against the dollar at 10:50 am ET to go for 1.10262.
