Natixis: China's growth to slow down medium-term

Monday, 20. September 2021 09:43

China's economic growth is expected to slow down over the medium term due to a wide range of factors, economists at the French bank Natixis argued on Monday.

The Chinese GDP growth is expected to slow as a result of population aging, the shift in the capital structure to low-productive capital, the decline in productivity gains, excessive debt as well as the difficulty and cost of the energy transition, the report noted.

The latest official results showed that China's GDP annually jumped by 7.9% in the second quarter of 2021.
