Qualcomm Technologies announced on Monday that the company will work with the Renault Group and Google to design a "rich and immersive in-vehicle experience" for Renault's next-generation electric vehicle, the Megane E-TECH Electric, unveiled at IAA Mobility 2021 in Munich.

The California-based company is the world's largest supplier of major semiconductors for mobile phones. Qualcomm first expanded into the automotive industry through a deal with General Motors earlier this year.

The Megane E-TECH Electric's digital cockpit is powered by Google's Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS), utilizing an ecosystem of automotive applications and services.
