Nvidia Q2 EPS surges 276% YoY

Nvidia Corporation reported on Wednesday that its diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the second quarter of fiscal 2022 stood at $0.94, up 276% from the same period a year ago.

The tech company also revealed that its revenue in the second trimester totaled $6.51 billion, representing a 68% jump year-on-year, while its net income surged 282% on an annual basis to reach $2.37 billion. Meanwhile, operating income for the period ending August 1, 2021, rose by 275% to $2.44 billion.

"NVIDIA's pioneering work in accelerated computing continues to advance graphics, scientific computing and AI. Enabled by the NVIDIA platform, developers are creating the most impactful technologies of our time," company founder and CEO Jensen Huang pointed out in a statement.

Nvidia's shares were up 0.31% in after-hours trading following the release of the report.
