Israel could approve giving virus jabs to 12-15 y/os - experts

The Israeli Health Ministry stated on Saturday it is considering approving vaccinating people aged between 12 and 15 against COVID-19.

The officials said they started reviewing the move after the United States allowed giving Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE's jab to persons of the aforementioned age. They added they were waiting for the final results of the study its panel of experts is conducting in cooperation with the two companies before doing so.

As of the latest information published on Friday, Israel has so far vaccinated 5,431,678 with the first dose and 5,095,555 with the second shot.
