Europe up in premarket amid earnings, data releases

Equities in Europe traded higher in the premarket on Friday amid several data and earnings reports that are to be released in the day. Credit Agricole SA, Siemens AG, and BMW AG announced annual rises in their first-quarter incomes. Traders will also keep an eye on Germany's latest results in trade and industrial production.

The DAX traded 0.63% higher at 8:00 am CET. At the same time, the FTSE 100 went up by 0.43%. The CAC 40 grew by 0.33%.

The euro stood flat against the dollar, selling for $1.20600 at 8:01 am CET. The pound sterling gained 0.12% against the greenback at the same moment to change hands for $1.39058.
