Europe higher premarket on COVID news

Major German stocks traded in the green ahead of Monday's session as news surrounding the coronavirus pandemic marked the weekend behind us. The World Health Organization recommended the emergency use of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine, while the United Kingdom confirmed sending medical supplies to India to help the country combat the latest outbreak.

Commenting on the Boeing-Airbus subsidies dispute, European Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis estimated the European Union and the United States might reach an agreement that would end the dispute by July.

The DAX gained 0.32% at 7:25 am CET. British stock markets were closed for the May Day public holiday. The CAC 40 rose 0.14% at 8:01 am CET. Meanwhile, the euro stood flat against the dollar at 1.20183 and the pound lost 0.09% to sell for $1.38098.
