Airbus SE revealed on Thursday that its revenue in the third quarter of fiscal 2020 amounted to €11.2 billion, 27% less compared to the same period the year before.

Its net loss stood at €767 million during the same three month period, as opposed to the net income of €989 million seen the year prior. The aerospace giant reported a loss per share of €0.98 in the three months ended September 30, while its earnings per share stood at €1.27 at the end of the third trimester of fiscal 2019.

"After nine months of 2020 we now see the progress made on adapting our business to the new COVID-19 market environment. Despite the slower air travel recovery than anticipated, we converged commercial aircraft production and deliveries in the third quarter and we stopped cash consumption in line with our ambition," Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury asserted in a statement.
