Lundmark to take role as Nokia's CEO in August

Finnish telecommunications company Nokia said on Wednesday that Pekka Lundmark (pictured) will start his new role as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer on August 1, 2020, one month earlier than previously announced.

According to the statement, the earlier start date is due to Fortum, Lundmark’s ex-employer appointing a new CEO as of July 1.

Lundmark will replace Rajeev Suri who will continue to serve as an advisor to the Nokia Board until January 1, 2021.
