Ford's US output to return to pre-COVID-19 levels by July 6

Ford Motors Company unveiled on Wednesday it's production in the United States plants is expected to be back to pre-coronavirus levels by July 6.

The vehicle manufacturer temporarily halted its output in US-based factories in late March amid the coronavirus emergency. On May 18, Ford started gradual resumption of its North America production following the easing of containment measures in the country.

Earlier today, the Detroit-based carmaker announced it expanded its alliance with Volkswagen AG, planning to jointly produce around eight million units of three commercial vehicle models.
