Volkswagen AG intends to restart production in two factories in Mexico on June 15 after closures forced by the coronavirus outbreak, the company said in a statement on Monday.

German vehicle manufacturer suspended output in Mexican states of Puebla and Guanajuato in March due to the pandemic.

Last week, Volkswagen resumed production in its largest plant in Wolfsburg, Germany, following the country's decision to relax containment measures imposed to prevent the spreading of COVID-19.
