Deutsche Boerse chairman to step down in 2020

Monday, 29. April 2019 16:15

Joachim Faber (pictured right), chairman of Deutsche Boerse AG, will step down at the group's annual meeting in May next year, Boerse announced on Monday.

Faber, who headed the group's board since 2012, was the focus of shareholder discontent after Boerse failed to merge with the London Stock Exchange Group in 2017.

Additional information on Faber's successor will be provided to the public "in due course in accordance with the legal requirements," Boerse added.
