Chances of a deal in Congress on a new stimulus package for the United States' economy have increased, Goldman Sachs said in a note.

The investment bank noted that its projection comes as it now looks like the Democrats aren't insisting anymore on a multi-trillion dollar aid bill, meaning that a deal on economic stimulus is now more likely to be reached by the end of 2020.

Earlier, the Democrats expressed support for the $900 billion bipartisan stimulus plan.
