Europe opens higher amid vaccine optimism

Major stock markets in Europe opened higher on Monday after it was said China's coronavirus vaccine candidate, developed by CanSino Biologics, supposed to enter Phase 3 testing in Saudi Arabia. On the data front, investors are waiting for Sentix GmbH to report on investors' confidence in the Eurozone.

The DAX rose by 0.06% at 9:03 am CET with Adidas AG rising 1.80%. London's FTSE 100 lost 0.32% at the same time. BP Plc was the best performer going up by 1.38%. The CAC went up by 0.27% at 9:07 am CET as Renault climbed by 1.71%.

The euro was 0.148% down compared to the dollar at 9:07 am CET, trading for 1.17714. The British pound increased by 0.07% against the American currency, going for 1.30607 concurrently.
