Google doesn't use Gmail data for ads, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said on Wednesday.

Speaking before Congress on third-party cookies that are set to be excluded in the future, Pichai stated that many users don't want to be tracked constantly on the internet. However, he added that Google can still track users through first-party services such as search.

Pichai noted that if users agree to ads personalization, the company will have their data.
