Europe soars in premarket despite virus fears

Equities on the major European markets surged in the premarket on Monday despite the fears of the coronavirus' second wave and the effects it might have on the bloc's economy. Germany's Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Altmaier announced that the country's economy will see growth come October. He also saw October as the month in which the unemployment will start to decline.

The DAX jumped 2.03% at 7:55 am CET, while FTSE 100 gained 1.33% concurrently. At the same time, in Paris, the CAC 40 went up by 1.82%.

The euro rose 0.39% against the dollar, selling for $1.12901 at 7:55 am CET, while the pound increased by 0.08% against the greenback, changing hands at $1.24959.
