Nestle completes $20.7B buyback program

Food corporation Nestle S.A. announced on Monday it had finished a 20 billion Swiss franc ($20.7 billion) share buyback program buying 225,186,059 of its shares at the price of 88.82 Swiss francs per share.

The statement says that the company plans to "start a new share buyback program of up to 20 billion Swiss francs as announced on Oct. 17, 2019," and that it will "commence repurchases on or after Jan. 3, 2020."

As per the announcement, the new share buyback program should be finished by the end of December 2022.
