Tuesday, 22. October 2019 20:15

The Parliament of the United Kingdom voted in favor of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Withdrawal Agreement Bill with 329 to 299, sending the legislation to the committee stage.

The second reading that the bill passed was the first time MPs got to debate the bill. After the committee stage, the bill will be returned for a third reading in the House of Commons. If it passes the third reading, it will be sent to the House of Lords.

Parliament will now vote for Johnson’s program motion which would hurry up the legislative process so that Brexit could be delivered by October 31.
