Broadcom Inc. is close to reaching a deal with Symantec Corp. to buy its enterprise business, CNBC's David Faber reported citing sources close to the matter.

The deal, which is set to value Symantec's enterprise unit at around $10 billion, could be announced after today's trading session ends, according to the sources.

Earlier this year, Broadcom planned to purchase the whole Symantec but the negotiations ended in mid-July after the cybersecurity software maker refused to accept any offer under $28 per share.
