Europe opens slightly higher with data in focus

European stocks opened slightly higher on Monday as investors awaited inflation figures from Germany and Eurozone consumer confidence data. Meanwhile, markets in the United Kingdom were closed for the summer bank holiday.

The DAX was up 0.08% at 9:02 am CET. The best performers were Covestro and BASF, both up 0.65%.

The CAC 40 gained 0.13% at 9:00 am CET. Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield led the gains, rising 0.70% at 9:02 am CET.

The euro added 0.05%against the dollar to go for 1.18023 at 9:00 am CET.
