Asia trades mixed as earnings season continues

Asian stock markets traded mixed on Thursday as companies continued to release their earnings reports. Chinese automaker NIO revealed a second-quarter increase in revenue of 127.2%, while figures by Toshiba and Baidu are expected later in the day. Meanwhile, the Bank of Japan stated the country's Producer Price Index increased by 1.1% in July on a monthly basis or 5.6% year-on-year.

The Nikkei 225 added 0.21% at 4:38 am CET, while the S&P/ASX 200 stood flat at the same time, and Hang Seng dropped 0.19%. The Kospi Composite was up by 0.82% at 4:19 am CET.

The Shanghai Composite lost 0.12% at 4:38 am CET, and the Shenzhen Composite declined by 0.48% at 4:40 am CET.

The dollar was flat compared to the yen at 4:41 am CET, going for 110.3875.
