The price of Bitcoin plunged over 9% to below $35,500 on Friday after several days of volatility in the crypto markets.

Today's fall has set the popular cryptocurrency for a weekly decline of 12% so far.

Bitcoin was down 9.73% to $35,340.71 at 10:55 am ET.
