China's Chang'e 5 lunar probe entered the Moon's orbit, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) announced on Saturday. The unmanned probe was launched on November 23 on a mission to collect soil and rock samples.

CNSA said that the mission has been flying for approximately 112 hours before engaging brakes at around 400 kilometers from the lunar surface. The probe is next expected to adjust the height and inclination of its orbit and perform a soft landing on the Moon.
