French multinational insurance group AXA SA announced on Friday that 17,000 of its employees subscribed to shares issued as a form of a capital increase, exclusively reserved for the firm's employees, under the name "Shareplan 2020." The amount earned exceeded €88 million.

According to the official announcement, over 6 million newly-issued shares were offered for a subscription price of €13.76. The offering was held in 37 countries and it involved more than 110,000 eligible employees, with 15% of them receiving shares with full rights as of January 1, 2020.

After this development, AXA's outstanding shares reached the number of 2,424,107,004 on November 27, 2020.
