Manhattan AG urges court to dismiss Trump's tax return arguments

Monday, 21. September 2020 21:40

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance called for the United States appeals court to turn down US President Donald Trump's "recycled" arguments to avoid the release of his tax return records.

According to court filing forwarded by Vance's lawyers, US District Judge Victor Marrero made the right decision to reject Trump's lawsuit following a "meticulous" study of the president's case.

Oral arguments are scheduled for September 25 before a three-judge panel, but it's unlikely for Trump's tax returns to be unveiled before the US elections in November if the court orders him to release them.
