Germany's Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) said on Tuesday that it has been auditing Wirecard AG's records from 2017 to 2019.

The review is conducted due to the now-collapsed payment processing company's refusal to participate in the German Audit Office for Accounting's audit shortly before it filed for bankruptcy.

Yesterday, media reported that Ernst & Young Global Ltd. is being investigated by German regulators for its involvement in the Wirecard scandal.
