Best Buy suspends ads on Facebook

Monday, 29. June 2020 21:05

Best Buy suspended on Monday its advertisements on Facebook over disagreements with the Menlo Park-based social media giant's moderation policy.

The electronic retailer thus followed the steps of companies such as Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Verizon, and Starbucks, which all have suspended their advertisements on platforms owned by Mark Zuckerberg in protest against social networks' marketing management.

Facebook has recently come under harsh criticism for allowing publications that allegedly spread hate speech and misinformation on the 2020 United States elections.
