The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped over 250 points in the premarket on Monday, extending gains despite fears of the COVID-19's second wave. While some federal states report spikes in new coronavirus cases, traders are closely following the ongoing quarrel between Facebook and a growing number of companies that decided to refrain from advertising on the social media platform. The Dow Jones gained 1.07% or 263 points at 8:16 am ET, while the S&P 500 increased by 0.83% at the same time. A minute later, the Nasdaq 100 climbed 0.38%. The euro gained 0.58% against the dollar to go for $1.12838 at 8:17 am ET. |
